Hi FQHA!!
I can't even put into words how excited I am to be representing your association at the 2010 Congress! Thank you so much for this opportunity.
I'm Stacy Saltzman, I live in West Palm Beach, Florida, I am 25 years old, and you can always find me smiling.
I work at a company based in Florida called Advanced Airways, Inc. which is
a aircraft charter company. At Advanced Airways I manage the office, as well
as play flight attendant when duty calls. I love flying, and I have had, opportunities
to meet amazing, influential, people. One of my favorite memories was flying
to Chile right after the devastating earthquake, I flew Ann Curry from the today
show, it was a trip of a lifetime, she was just as compassionate as the television
portrays.
I also work part-time at Trinity Christian School in Palm Beach Gardens as an
After School Sports coach for Kindergartners. I teach the children sportsmanship,
and leadership tactics while tuning their large and fine motor skills. I love
working with children.
When I am not working, I am volunteering. I was a co-leader of a 4H equine
club last year, and will continue to volunteer with Palm Beach County 4H for
many years to come. I am so blessed to be able to give my time to an organization
that has given so much to me.
I also volunteer with the Black Stallion Literacy Foundation. The black stallion
literacy foundation brings books and horses to inner city schools where children
have the chance to interact with horses while learning to read. It is so rewarding
to see a child light up at the sight of a horse. Most of the children believe
that the horses we show them are the characters straight out of the book. Volunteering
for the Black Stallion Literacy Foundation brings my love of horses, reading
(Nicholas Sparks is my favorite) and children all together.
I also like spending time with my horse, of course showing my horse, being outside, crafting, going to the beach, four-wheeling in the mud ;) and so much more! I love life and all it has to offer!!
Thanks again for this chance of a lifetime. I promise to work diligently to achieve the goal of becoming The 2010 All-American Quarter Horse Congress Queen.
Stacy
