Tamara Gear-Lewis - "I think it's absolutely awesome! It is so helpful and everyone is so kind....."
Kim Paquette - "It's good and I learned a lot."
Kayla Kohler - "It's really helpful!"
Lauren Kohler - "So wonderful..."
Dylan Patterson - "I got better and FQHA should hold a lot more!"
Jasmine Stiles - "It's good..... helps with "inner".
Andrea Erick - "I think this show is awesome! I love how all the clinics start at 9:00! It is also a great opportunity for novice......with the judges and the trainers talking to you, it's really nice! You also can see what the judges want."
Bianca Babbitt - "I liked the clinics. They are very informative I also learned relaxation. But, I really want more English clinics, such as Hunter Hack."
Tracy Meisel - "I like it, it's very good! I also learned a lot because I do not take lessons. I now know to push my legs back. Do this more often, like twice a year!"
Rebecca Hurm - "I love it! The whole entire weekend experience is very good. They should have more open classes for exhibitors and twice a year for this would be great!"
Martine Rose - "I was quite impressed with the clinician of the Horsemanship Clinic, so I asked his name. He brought up many good tactics for improving your horsemanship classes, which also helps with many aspects of riding."
Tamara Gear-Lewis - "Thank you for a successful and educational all novice
show last weekend. Even with the adversities of the heat, lightening and rain
the show was a positive learning experience for all who participated. Kim Beilein
was awesome in her showmanship clinics which I attended both days. She was animated
in her examples to us, made us laugh and above all was extremely precise with
her showmanship rules and moves. Kim helped each of us individually while keeping
the flow with the group and all participants were being educated and had fun
at the same time. Dennis Haberstroh gave both the horsemanship and equitation
clinics ( he graciously filled in for the equitation clinician who could not
make it). He taught true horsemanship thru the proper seat and balance and use
of aids how to ride and show. Dennis explained feet, leg, hip, seat, abdomen,
neck, head and eye positions in both disciplines. In hunt seat equitation, he
explained the history of AQHA versus AHSA and fox hunting and how the merger
of all 3 events have blended into how we ride today. Dennis also strived to
educate us that proper horsemanship / equitation is the ability to perform intricate
maneuvers as a team ( horse and rider) using all of our aides, not just sit
and attempt the patterns. He and the judge Caroline Tinker Buckley both stated
that AQHA wants true horsemanship, so is a foot or leg must move to turn your
horse, than so be it. The Judge was open, friendly, and smiling. She spoke to
participants individually, answered questions, critiqued both positively and
negatively in a educational format. She both read and quoted form the AQHA rule
book and explained at length what AQHA is looking for and how to interpret different
classes.
The Show Management was courteous, friendly and very helpful for everyone. Always
available to answer questions and lend support to those who needed it.
The comradery was awesome with all the folks who attended. The overall experience
was a great success and an positive influence for both AQHA and FQHA to all
who participated. My only regret that I was not able to participate in the trail
clinic with JoAnne Farrell due to the time and weather."
Nancy Griffin - "Do you have the information ready for the Sept All Novice Show... I audited the July show and was so impressed that I want to sign up now... for the Tampa show... "
